I have set aside Mondays to blog and share what God is showing me to encourage those who need it from a faith perspective.

This morning I had a dream that I was participating in an event with the soon-to-be-ex-husband. During the event, I discovered that the back of my pants was ripped and I had been walking around exposed for God-only-knew how long. I asked the ex repeatedly why he hadn’t said anything. He didn’t really respond and another guy standing nearby seemed to be amused by the whole thing.

I was frustrated and embarrassed. However, I was also signed up for a race at this event and it was time for me to run. I took off running away from the ex, full speed to my race, ripped pants and all. When I woke up I heard the Lord say, You may have been embarrassed or disgraced, but you are running toward your destiny with acceleration. Then He told me to share this message with you all:

You may have been publicly disgraced and put to shame.
Run anyway. Run to your destiny.
The very thing used to disgrace you
will accelerate you to your victory, says GOD.

Run on as you meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 119:31-32 New International Version (NIV)
I hold fast to your statutes, Lord;
do not let me be put to shame.
I run in the path of your commands,
for you have broadened my understanding.

Isaiah 40:31 New International Version (NIV)
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

1 Corinthians 9:24 New International Version (NIV)
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Hebrews 12:1 New International Version (NIV)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…
